Patronat de Turisme de la Vall de Ribes

It is a building with a single rectangular nave, covered with a barrel vault and an apse with a horseshoe-shaped interior and a semicircular exterior. The two-eyed bell tower is on top of the opening arch of the apse.
Sant Marcel was part of the dominions of the monastery of Sant Joan de les Abadesses, being consecrated at the beginning of the 11th century by the abbot Oliva. The frontal part of the altar is now exhibited at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.
