The small Toses Valley acts as a geographical border between Vall de Ribes and Ripollès, and Molina and Cerdanya; the road that goes along the valley, the so called Collada de Toses, goes as high as 1,800 m. The village, with 62.18 km2, spans the headwaters of the river Rigat over Planoles.
